Groping on Trains

The East Japan Railway (JR East), that links Tokyo and Saitama Prefecture, announced that security cameras have been installed in their trains. The reason was to deter and detect groping of passengers. In the first half of the year, the Tokyo Police Department reported 708 cases on trains of which about 10% occurred in a JR East line. Each car will be fitted to record images from four points.
